COVID-19 Update

A Message from Pastor Bob, Pastor Tom, and the Eleva Church Council

 Dear Friends,

On Sunday, the church council met with Pastor Bob to discuss a possible schedule for the upcoming weeks.  At that time it seemed like we could continue worship at the church with modifications and only cancel Sunday School.  However, in our current climate things change rapidly and today the council and the pastors decided to follow the recommendations of the president, the governor, and Bishop Laurie to make the following ministry adjustments:

All in-person events, including worship services, educational programming, small group activities will be suspended until April 5.

Until April 5, the pastors and the council are exploring ways to utilize online technologies in support of the various ministries at Eleva Lutheran Church. We will contact members with more information about these options if and when they become available.  All sermons will be posted on the website and can be mailed to members who do not have internet access.

At this time the office will remain open, the pastors will continue their office hours at the church. The pastors will also continue to remain in contact with our home bound members via telephone. Even though we are not able to worship and gather together physically right now, you can continue to support Eleva Lutheran Church ministries through:

Praying for the health and safety of those in our community and around the world.

Calling and checking in on your neighbors who may be isolated and in need.

Continuing to support Eleva Lutheran Church ministries monetarily by mailing offering envelopes to the office or continuing your online giving.

Eleva’s leadership will continue to confer regularly during the coming weeks. Please look for an update regarding worship services and ministries in the near future.
