January's Fill the Rail Ministry

Items requested to be collected:

• IV Hoodies: Only accepting monetary donations. Please address the checks to the RUTH
  Organization and then put in the MEMO line that it is specifically for IV Hoodies.
• RUTH Community Garden: Any type of seeds, gardening tools

What is RUTH?
RUTH stands for Rural Unity Through Hope. RUTH partners with many different organizations that are committed to social justice. RUTH helps create leadership and fund these organizations. Both the community garden and IV hoodies are part of this great group.

IV Hoodies: IV Hoodies is a non-profit organization with the main goal of letting people who are receiving IVs be in maximum comfort. People receiving IVs typically get cold during the process. IV Hoodies buy hoodies and sew zippers in the most common IV injection points. They then give away the hoodies free-of-charge.

RUTH Community Garden: This community garden is located in Arcadia. It is in partnership with the United Methodist Church. The garden is open to community members to volunteer at, and then the plants are given away when ready. They are now looking to expand and buy another piece of land in another town.

There will be a Temple Talk with members of the RUTH Organization on January 5th.
